Passionate Products from Raiel
The golden hills of Malmesbury, South Africa provide a fitting and dramatic backdrop to the home of Raiel, the largest manufacturer of its kind, dealing with timber, aluminium and polyester handles and related products.
Building a passion
The company was born of a passion for the craft by its founder, Raiel Le Roux, 1984. During that time, Roux crafted, designed and manufactured wooden handles. His business edge stemmed from a perceived local and international market requirement for the product and turned out to be spot on—the company later became the first manufacturer of these decorative products in all of South Africa.
Situated in the heart of the Western Cape, Roux established Raiel as the leading and biggest manufacturer of its kind in Africa. After following his passion and gifted talent to manufacture, Raiel designed and manufactured wooden handles after recognizing the need for quality products in the local and international market.
Roux then followed with wooden mouldings to compliment his developing and proven successful handle range—offering form style and design to kitchen and furniture manufacturers. This in turn, was followed by the manufacture of components for the Furniture Trade and Promotion Industry.
Supplying excellent service and products to retail and larger end users, Raiel constantly developed their field of expertise. Recognizing new trends and market opportunities led to the inclusion of an aluminum, stainless steel and polyester range.
Progression and development
This first-mover advantage has served Raiel very well and it wasn’t long before Roux chose to expand upon his product, offering added wooden mouldings that greatly complemented his already successful handle range. Doing this enabled the company to offer form, style and design to kitchen and furniture manufacturers. Raiel delivered the exactly sought pieces to its customers without the need for convoluted dialogue amongst other companies, constraints on product request or any other supply chain gripes.
“Supplying excellent service and products to retail and larger end users, Raiel constantly developed their field of expertise,” the company says. “Recognizing new trends and market opportunities led to the inclusion of an aluminium, stainless steel and polyester range.”
In a nutshell, this development history takes us up to the present day where Raiel continues to surprise, impress and deliver to any brief. The proof, of course, is in the product range today and true to form the company does not disappoint.
