Monckton flares tempers, again

TABJ - June 30 - Last week he compared the government’s climate change adviser to a “fascist” and today, addressing the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies in Perth, climate change naysayer Christopher Monckton continued his candid commentary by unleashing a verbal assault on Australia’s media regarding coverage of climate change and proposed carbon taxation.

“Only last week one of your leading newspapers, leading columnists, wrote a column saying that people like us should be gassed,” he told the crowd.

“No apology and none of you have gone round to her house and thrust microphones in her face and said don't you think you're being a bit unfair... So there is very plainly a nasty double standard here.”

With his next appearance planned for the Notre Dame University, things are hotting up. Latest reports state that more than 50 learned Australians have penned a petition against his scheduled speech, claiming that “stands for the kind of ignorance and superstition that universities have a duty to counter.”

Monckton has no recognised qualifications to speak authoritatively on the subject of climate change.
