For Angola, the Huila Provence to become country’s biggest grain producer
TABJ Sep 9 - In Lubango, approximately eighty farmers will be participating in a project whose goals are to make the Southern Huila province the country’s largest grain suppliers.
The Huila province currently grows over 500,000 tonnes of cereals annually, the main producing regions being Caluquembe, Chicomba, Chipindo, Caconda and Matala.
Eilseu Gaspar, the deputy president of the Angola Industrial Association said to press, “We want to transform the great region of Huila in a potential cereals supplier in Angola meeting the government investments in granaries.”
