Fima Films
Known as “Your Packaging Solutions Partner”, South Africa-based Fima Films was established 25 years ago as part of the Treofan Group but recently started trading as FIMA in October.
Previously known as Treofan South Africa, Fima Films covers day to day packaging needs, specializing in the production of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) with its local plant in South Africa.
Packaging production
Packaging for major business clients like Cadbury, Coca Cola and Marlboro, Fima Films has utilized its many years of experience to build a solid reputation as producers and suppliers of BOPP products with expert knowledge in the packaging industry. As well as covering those major clients, Fima Films also produces packaging for snacks, chocolate bars, baked goods, noodles, hygiene products, greeting card packaging as well as a variety of other products.
Business partnerships
The Treofan Group, still closely associated with Fima Films, has granted exclusive rights to sell their product range into Africa and southern Africa, so there is no issue about not being able to get your hands on your most loved Treofan film, as we will still be working very closely with them.
The Treofan Group, headquartered in Germany, develops, manufactures and markets BOPP under the brand name Treofan. With more than 40 years of experience in global markets, Treofan markets its products in more than 90 countries, manufacturing about 200,000 tonnes of film a year at five sites in Europe and North America.
Now independent and having made its first local management buyout, Fima Films aim to focus on its own product range as well as the development of a bigger and better product range. Adding to that, the company has grouped with Dor Films to enhance its already impressive product line as well as improve its packaging solutions needs.
Dor Film is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of BOPP and other films for a variety of applications, including a wide range of food and general packaging applications, labels, adhesive tape etc. Dor Film is a fully accredited ISO production site.
BOPP has become a popular packaging solution because of its wide variety of benefits including its unique combination properties such as stiffness, transparency, sealability, barrier, shine, etc., while the company also offers an alternative range of packaging solutions from its partners Treofan and Dor Films.
Fima business solutions
Aiming to offer a continued quality product in line with AIB and ISO certifications, adding a label is what makes your product stand out, giving it a recognizable appearance and visual appeal. The company also produces high quality, high shrink films for pack tightness and high barrier film for enhanced appeal and shelf life for the carton wrap and tobacco industries. Fima Films has a range of flexible packaging products to satisfy consumer and business product needs, offering a range of clear, white and metalized products in the packaging, labeling and carton overwrap sectors.
Now as Fima Films and still holding the Treofan Group license and exclusive distribution rights in Sub-Saharan Africa, the company strives to be recognized as offering a range of quality local packaging, labeling and tobacco products. Adding to that, investing in a research and development program to best serve its consumer base, Fima Films has shown innovative growth in its business methods.
